Most people that receive a flu shot make it unscathed throughout the year without catching the flu. Make sure that you wash your hands regularly with soap and water. The flu usually spreads by hand to mouth contact so keep your hands clean.

If you catch the flu then drink lots of liquids. Your body is working hard so make sure that you are drinking liquids and staying hydrated. There are also medications on the market that can help you combat the flu such as Tamiflu and Zicam. If you are sick with the flu it is also advisable to consult with a physician. So this year follow these tips and ward off the flu.
