Rss Feeds and MLM

A Couple of years ago I was sitting their with my small tiny website reading all about blogs and RSS feeds. At that time I had just sent a email to my opot in list of about 1000, and I was reading all abouthow with all the spam filters and tons of emails in their Inbox people are less likely to get your email or even read it once they get it.
Then I read something about RSS Feeds or Real Simple Syndication, and to cut a long story short have been using RSS Feeds since then.
However I was also reading a article a couple of days ago about how only 11% of people who have blogs actually utilise RSS.
To me this seemed odd as RSS feeds and Blogs go together like macaroni and cheese and their are millions and millions of blogs.
So for people who dont know what RSS feeds are its a way of getting your message across to your customer, however where as email marketing is done at the time the marketer wants, with RSS feeds the customer or reader is more in control.
So for example if you had a blog newsletter and syndicated its RSS feed every week or every day and whenever the reader had time they would read your feed with a newsreader, on the other hand if you sent your newsletter by email it might not even arrive at the persons Inbox or even if it did maynot even get read
So in my view if you have a blog its a no brainer to syndicate your site via RSS and even f you dont have a blog but always add fresh content to your website, whether that be text picture or audio a RSS feed is the logical choice.
The easist and free way to create an RSS feed is to use Feedburner , plus also they give you the option to have people read your feed from their cell or mobile phone.
