How many times have you heard it...
Just give away free ebooks and reports from your site and you'll
generate a hoard of traffic that will lead to skyrocketing your
sales..
Yeah right...
Sure, it's true that you can give away free reports and ebooks
from your site as a lure to get them to drop on by, but they'll
only become a real legitimate source of traffic when you add one
more important step.
It's that step that's so important that your going to learn and
master today.
Yeah I know, I said master. And no I'm not crazy either...
It only takes 5 minutes of practice a day for less than a week,
and in no time at all you'll have this method so deeply
ingrained in your mind, that you couldn't get rid of this
information if you tried.
Let me explain...
Let's say that your offering a free 5 day marketing ecourse that
teaches you everything you need to know about getting your email
marketing campaign up and running in the shortest amount of time.
So you do as you've heard so many time, and you go ahead and
place ezine ads, ppc ads, google adsense, everything you know.
Now you wait.
A week goes by, than 2, than a month...
And not only do you not get the sales that you had hoped for,
but you don't even get the subscriber's email.
Yikes!
Here's how to use your free ebook, report, or e-course the
correct way.
Whenever you give away anything for free, doesn't matter what it
is, you should always, always, get their email address loaded
into your auto responder
See one of the big problems with generating traffic to your site
by giving away free reports, or ebooks, is that when the
prospect comes to your site and swipes your free offer, and
leave, than your potential sale goes flying right the window.
Yeah, I can hear some of you saying that your free ebook or
report is loaded with other offers so that you can capture their
email address.
But riddle me this....
What if they still don't respond to that offer either.
Your then left with nothing. Zero. Nada. Zip. I think you get
the point.
Now look at it this way.
If you were to require them to opt into your list before they
can access any of your information than you immediately give
yourself the advantage. Now you can email them later with more
valuable content and offers. Which means if you have them opt in
first, and 10 people were to grab your free ebook or report than
you would have 10 email addresses to show for it.
And that's ultimately what you want. A huge list of customers
that you can follow up with over and over with month after month.
Now of course this tactic orks best for free offers only.
I use this tactic all the time, and I'm sure it will work for
you as well.
