Signs of the winter blues are the following; while usually not serious, the winter blues does cause a person to be a little gloomy, depressed and sad. You might feel the need to sleep more and have a lot less energy. A lot of people with the winter blues have an urge or crave carbohydrates and some people just feel blah.

If you think you are suffering from the winter blues here are a few tips. Try to get as much sunlight as possible. If you have difficulty getting sunlight daily, go to a tanning salon a couple of times per week or get a lamp that reproduces sun light.
