So far I've introduced you to the Rich Jerk, bought his ebook and reviewed it, you can read those other articles in the marketing section of this blog. I've also made two «interesting» affirmations: that I will launch a marketing offensive around the Rich Jerk while giving the $97 book away for free.
I've also specified that this will not be the regular BS. This is going to be fresh and crunchy. There is another site that offers the Rich Jerk for free...when you buy their $999 money making «system». Uh, I think I'll pass...
Ok, I'm going to spit it out now, what I'm going to do to give the Rich Jerk away. It's so painfully obvious that I can't believe that the «gurus» aren't at it yet, some gurus eh!
Let me spell it out: Incentivized Marketing. Incentivized marketing is the art of creating incentivized leads for third party advertisers. In essence, you offer your customers a great gift, like the Rich Jerk's ebook in exchange for them filling in some sponsored marketing trials or offers.
Does it work? FreePay, the pioneer of the freebie world (another term for incentivized marketing) made over 5 million dollars first year giving away Ipods. Don't take my word for it, go read about it, you will find many articles from reputable sources here
Here's where I think this gets interesting. As The Rich Jerk becomes the Free Jerk, I will be exposing my tender white underbelly. That is I will be monitoring step by step what I do, how much time it takes, how much money I spend and how successful my little venture is. My feeling is that this may just be the start, or second phase of an online freebie revolution.
