Fear Of Sexual Failure Vanishes With Cialis

Erectile dysfunction (ED) sometimes referred to as impotence, is the repeated inability of a man to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. The term impotence may also be used to describe other problems associated with men's sexual activity, such as decreased libido and problems with ejaculation or orgasm.

ED is caused by a wide array of physical and psychological factors which affects men's health. Generally, ED is resulted due to damage to nerves, arteries, smooth muscles, and fibrous tissues. High blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, kidney or liver disease, other vascular conditions, cigarette smoking, and excessive alcohol intake, are responsible for restricting sufficient blood-flow into the vessels of the penis, and thus resulting ED.

Experts believe that ED affected men may experience psychological problems such as, low self-esteem, sexual failure anxiety, depression, stress, guilt, and relationship conflicts.

Moreover, several common medications such as, blood pressure drugs, antihistamines, antidepressants, tranquilizers and appetite suppressants may bring ED as a side effect affecting men's sexual health.

To some extent, more than 50% of men between the ages of 40 and 70 can experience ED. Men with ED should know that it is not just a part of the normal process of aging rather it is a medical condition. The good news is that there are medicines and treatment options available in the market to assist ED affected men.

Oral Medication :

Oral medications such as Cialis (tadalafil), a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase inhibitors, are the most common treatment for ED. Taken an hour before sexual intercourse, Cialis functions by enhancing the effects of nitric oxide, a chemical that relaxes smooth muscles in the penis during sexual stimulation, and allows increased blood flow into the penis thus making it erect. The effect of Cialis can last 24 to 36 hours, several times longer than other anti-ED drugs such as, Viagra and Levitra.

ED patients are advised to undergo a thorough physical examination and should refer their medical history to a doctor in order to diagnose the underlying cause of ED and to identify appropriate treatment.

Cialis is not advisable to men who have suffered a heart attack within the last six months, low blood pressure, high blood pressure, severe liver disease, and retinitis pigmentosa.

The most common side effects of Cialis are headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and nasal congestion. In rare instances, men taking Cialis reported a sudden decrease or loss of vision.

Apart from oral therapy, other treatment options for ED patients are also available that includes sex counseling or sex therapy, penile injection, intraurethral therapy, vacuum therapy and penile implant surgery.

However, one should note that before resorting to any medication or other treatment for ED, some simple lifestyle changes may improve ED. Here are few tips that may help in changing your lifestyle:

Exercising
Dieting
Quitting smoking
Reducing alcohol consumption
Managing stress and fatigue
