The Technology Myth by Carolyn Ho

The myth is that technology is difficult to understand, learn, capture, grasp. Not true. You do not have to be a geek, a genius, work for an IT department or be an all around tech guru to learn technology of any sort. Here's the analogy. I had to fix my bathroom sink because it was clogged. I had no idea what I was doing. I looked underneath, shut off the water and unscrewed the pipes. I unclogged them and screwed them back in. I fixed my clog. Unbelievable, I never thought I could do it. The same applies to computers. Yes, it's true, if you are creating software or video games, 3d animation it is very difficult. But so is Cantonese, and people learn it every day. Most programs can be learned from the manual or the tutorials within the software. I learned everything I know in help menus not in computer classes. Whatever works for you is fine; you just have to know that you can do it. You just have to try.
